Charlie Lockwood is an Aerodynamics Software Engineer at Haas F1 Team with a passion for Motorsport, problem-solving, and computational thinking. He completed an International Baccalaureate Diploma at Hockerill Anglo-European College in 2016, comprising of Computer Science, Maths, Economics, Physics, Italian, and English. Charlie has gained experience in developing microservices using the .NET Framework for the Aerodynamics Technology Development group at Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Technology, where he worked as an Aerodynamics Software Engineer. He also completed an industrial placement in the Aerodynamics Technology Development group at Red Bull, gaining experience in developing software and systems. Additionally, he aided the race team by providing various support from the team's base during race weekends. Charlie has completed Computer Science studies (with industrial placement) at Newcastle University, where he further developed his workplace skills like communication, critical thinking, and time management in a dynamic, challenging industry. He has also completed work experience placements with Renault Sport F1 Team and Scuderia Ferrari in their race strategy groups, building upon his existing experience within Motorsport and Software Development, having already completed a brief placement with Base Performance Simulators. Charlie's primary interests lie in Motorsport, problem-solving, and computational thinking. He is thrilled to continue his personal development at Haas and determined to make the most of this opportunity. With 2.19 years of relevant experience, Charlie is well-equipped to take on any challenge in the field of Aerodynamics Software Engineering.
