Charlie Pastuszenski is an accomplished Engineering Lead with over 7 years of experience in Machine Learning and Backend Engineering. In his role as a Product Manager at Spotify, he defined product strategy and roadmap for machine learning and data-focused teams, leading multidisciplinary workstreams with members from teams across Spotify to deliver the best possible search experience to users across the world. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, he created descriptive search deep learning models that provided high-quality listening sessions for users with open-ended intents and designed data pipelines and machine learning models to automatically assign new releases to the correct artists, significantly reducing time spent by human curators fixing metadata issues. He was also accountable for technical health and roadmap for the Search Product Area. Charlie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Dartmouth College, where he graduated in 2014.
