Charlotte Smith is a Junior Automation Engineer at Honeycommb with a background in human resources and influencer marketing in both global corporations and small scale start-ups. She has recently made a career jump to technology after enrolling in an immersive 10 week full-stack boot camp that focused on the technologies required to enter the market as an entry-level developer. Charlotte specializes in Ruby/Ruby on Rails, SQL/PostgreSQL, Javascript/React, and HTML/CSS and is currently learning Android and iOS Development. At Honeycommb, Charlotte collaborates with three other developers to write Ruby code for the application's Rails back-end via issue tickets on JIRA. She also presents new features and improvements to other departments for weekly team meetings and demonstrations. Charlotte develops test plans and procedures to help ship solid solutions and performs manual testing while building up an automated test suite across multiple platforms (Rails, iOS, Android, Javascript). Prior to her role at Honeycommb, Charlotte worked as a Junior Full Stack Developer at Launch Academy, Inc. where she completed a 10 week immersive on-campus boot camp that focused on full stack technologies such as Javascript/React, Ruby, SQL, and HTML/CSS. She also worked as an Associate, Customer Support at TEKsystems where she was the primary liaison with the corporate office regarding all client-related billing and compliance issues. Charlotte graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Finance and an A.A. She has a total of 8.03 years of relevant experience and her tech stack includes Ruby, test, SQL, iOS, Javascript, Backend, and Android.
