Charumitra Ravi is a passionate software engineering professional with over 3 years of experience in mobile testing and automation. She is currently pursuing her MS in Computer Science at Indiana University Bloomington, while also working as a Software Engineer in Test at Freshworks. At Freshworks, Charumitra is responsible for curating test plans, designing detailed test cases and taking ownership of multiple iOS and Android app releases. She has gained concrete experience on agile workflows in software testing life cycle and blackbox testing, and has been in charge of regular running and maintenance of automated tests on the cloud. Charumitra has also worked on automation scripting using frameworks like Appium and XCUITest using the languages Java and Swift respectively. Prior to her current role, Charumitra worked as a Quality Analyst at Freshworks for 6 months, where she gained insights into various industrial practices like agile project planning, grooming, retrospectives, etc. She also gained a good knowledge and experience in manual and automation testing, automation frameworks such as Selenium (in Ruby), Appium, and Rest API automation. She had been in charge of complete designing of test cases for a new feature which is now live in production. Charumitra holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering, which she completed in 2019. She is fluent in Java, Swift and Python and has a solid working knowledge in automating test scripts using frameworks like Appium and XCUItest.
