Currently working at Otter.ai, Cheng is responsible for developing and maintaining the software infrastructure of the company. He has a strong background in AI and has worked extensively with AWS, Python, Golang, and Java. Prior to joining Otter.ai, Cheng worked as a Software Engineer at Groupon, where he designed and architected infrastructures for Push & Relevance service. He has also worked as a Research Assistant at Michigan State University, where he built the very best 16s RNA assembly tool. Cheng holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from the University of Michigan. During his academic career, he gained extensive knowledge and experience in the field of computer science and has published several research papers. Cheng's technical expertise and experience in software engineering, AI, and AWS make him an invaluable asset to any organization.
