Chetan Deka is an experienced leader and engineering manager with over 11 years of relevant experience in the cloud, DevOps, and hybrid infrastructure space. He is passionate about solving complex problems with modern technology and has enjoyed a diverse range of positions throughout his career, from co-founding his first startup to developing technical strategies for early-stage startups. Chetan has also helped multi-million dollar projects to be agile, adapt the DevOps mindset, and enabled transformation to hybrid cloud. Chetan has a positive and optimistic personality and is self-driven to make himself a better person and those around him. He loves meeting people and hearing their perspectives and ideas. He can align, lead, and grow world-class infrastructure, DevOps, and product teams. Chetan can speak business and focus on achieving organizational goals. Chetan's specialties include large-scale and enterprise cloud migration, big data, DevSecOps, product development, agile project management, people management, and product management. Currently, he is working as a Leader, End to End Client Experience, CIO at IBM, where he is leading the development of a world-class big data platform on IBM Cloud. Chetan's past experience includes working as a Technical Lead - DevOps at Wipro, where he designed the DevOps process for different lines of business, automated application deployment, and infrastructure using Chef. He also worked as a Systems Manager - DevOps at Campus Diaries, where he built and maintained CI/Deployment pipelines for development, integration, QA, and live build processes. Chetan holds an MSc in Computing Science from Newcastle University and a Bachelor of Computer Application from North-Eastern Regional Institute of Management. He also completed his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya. Chetan's tech stack includes DevOps, Senior Software Engineer, infra, Big Data, product manager, Integration, CI/CD, test, and QA.
