Chetan Gandotra is a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with over 6 years of experience in the industry. Currently working at Google as a SWE-III, he is responsible for developing the backend of the Customer Conversation Platform team using Java. Prior to joining Google, he worked at Salesforce for over 2 years as a Senior Software Engineer, where he developed data models and REST APIs for Salesforce's service use cases. He also delivered Google Email-to-case, a powerful feature to sync Gmail support inbox with Salesforce cases, using Kafka, Message Queue, and OAuth. Chetan holds a Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in AI/ML from UC San Diego, which he earned in 2017. He also completed his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Thapar University in 2015. In addition to his technical expertise, Chetan is also a mentor and teacher. At Salesforce, he was a subject matter expert and teacher of Salesforce's CI/CD and JUnit best practices at the new hire Bootcamp program, having taught sessions in-person in the US, Canada, and Israel offices. He was also an engineering best practices mentor for a group of teams. Chetan's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Salesforce, Backend, Java, Integration, AI, ML, CI/CD, test, QA, Kafka, UI, and Web.
