Chetas Joshi is a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer with a passion for data products and data infrastructure. He has a strong interest in distributed systems, big data, machine learning, statistical analysis, signal and image processing. Chetas currently works as a Software Engineer at Airtable, where he is responsible for developing reliable and scalable data products. Prior to this, he worked at Rubrik as a Software Engineer, where he led the development of data ingestion pipelines, data warehousing, and data modeling. He also worked on observability, developing instrumentation libraries for telemetry data, real-time telemetry data ingestion pipelines, and a custom-built alerts framework. Before joining Rubrik, Chetas worked as a Data Engineer at Oracle (Bluekai), where he developed near real-time data processing pipelines using open source technologies like Apache Spark, Solr, Parquet, and Hadoop MapReduce. He also wrote Chef cookbooks for setting up big data processing/storage environments and led the logging and monitoring project, building the ELK stack and deploying an alerting mechanism on top of ElasticSearch database. Chetas holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, where he conducted research on detecting mild traumatic brain injury by observing cerebrovascular reactivity alterations in asymptomatic high-school football players. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology. Chetas has 8.03 years of relevant experience and is proficient in a wide range of programming languages and big data technologies, including Elastic Search, Spark, MapReduce, Kafka, Hadoop, AWS, ML, Snowflake, ECS, Ansible, Terraform, Apache Airflow, Kubernetes, Scala, Python, and Golang.
