Chi Bui is an experienced Lead Quality Assurance Engineer currently working at Synamedia. With over 15 years of experience in the software industry, Chi started her career as a Manual Software Quality Assurance (QA) and then moved on to become an Automation QA for web testing. She is now pursuing her dream of becoming a Software Developer in Test. Chi holds a post-graduate degree in Information Technology Solutions from Humber College, which gave her a concrete foundation in OOP, MVC, Data structures, as well as Database (RDBMS) and hands-on projects to make her dream come true. She also holds a BS in Telecommunications Engineering from the Post and Telecommunication Institute of Technology, Ha Noi, Vietnam. Chi has worked with various companies and products, including Absolute Software, where she worked as a Senior Test Automation Engineer, and Aswig Group, where she was a Software Quality Control (QC) Leader. At Absolute Software, Chi was responsible for using Jira Test management, Scrum development process, Java Selenium, and Rest Assured to develop automated UI and API tests. She also used Jenkins and Bit Bucket to build CI/DI and automation jobs for build verification test and regression. At Aswig Group, Chi provided leadership and supervision for the QC team, worked closely with BA, PM, and DEV Leaders to plan and coordinate QC activities, and provided training to QC team members. Chi's tech stack includes test, QA, Software Engineer, Java, JavaScript, Web, Selenium, SDET, Jenkins, UI, dotNET, product manager, and ASP.NET. She has also completed several courses in software testing and holds certifications such as PSM - Professional Scrum Master I™, Professional Scrum Product Owner I, and Scaled Professional Scrum™ from scrum.org.
