Chiao-Yu Tuan is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer at Airbnb, specializing in Payments. Chiao-Yu actively participated in RESTful API, backend system, and database design reviews, and configured, monitored, and analyzed A/B testing. Before LinkedIn, Chiao-Yu worked as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Amazon, where she developed a tool to search videos by features using Lucene full-text search on AWS. She worked on the Java backend as well as Rails and Angular JS web frontend. Chiao-Yu holds a Bachelor of Arts (summa cum laude) degree in Math-Computer Science and Psychology from Lawrence University, where she studied from 2010-2014. Prior to that, she completed her High School education at Beijing City International School from 2006-2010.
