Chieu Vu is a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer at Amazon, with a passion for software engineering that began at the age of 14. With a PhD in computer science and learning technology, Chieu has won several awards at national programming competitions and has experience in making quick business decisions in a fast-paced team environment. Chieu's expertise lies in applying cutting-edge, massively scalable services technology to build high-throughput, high-availability, low-latency, and cost-efficient systems. He is responsible for developing and maintaining websites and web services used by millions of users, and has proven experience in delivering customer-obsessed solutions. Currently, Chieu is a part of the Selling Partner Infrastructure and Core Experiences team at Amazon's office in downtown Detroit, where he works with Java and AWS technologies. Prior to this, he worked as an Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Michigan, where he secured funding from NSF for a research project to develop an intelligent teaching simulation in teacher education and co-founded and led the development of lessonsketch.org, used by thousands of users around the world.
