Chinmay Chiplunkar is a highly motivated and skilled MS CS student at Georgia Tech with a passion for distributed systems and cloud computing. With a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from BITS-Pilani, Chinmay has gained valuable experience in the industry, having worked as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon. At Amazon, Chinmay was part of the team responsible for building the cloud-native distributed SQL database Aurora. He contributed significantly to the project by developing a new, fully automated testing framework for the AWS Aurora cloud relational database engine. Prior to this, Chinmay worked as an SWE Intern at Amazon, where he worked in the AWS Aurora Storage Team and contributed to the development of a new, fully automated testing framework for AWS Aurora. Chinmay's interest in distributed systems and cloud computing has led him to work as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Texas at Austin, where he worked on accelerating PageRank in a parallel graph analytics framework using Persistent Memory at UT Austin Systems and Storage Lab under the guidance of Dr Vijay Chidambaram. Chinmay's educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He also holds a High School Diploma from P Jog Junior College of Science and Commerce, Pune, and Abhinava Vidyalaya English Medium School, Pune. Currently, he is pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, which he is expected to complete in 2024. Chinmay's technical skills include software engineering, SQL, research science, AWS, and testing. He has over 1.28 years of relevant experience in the industry, making him an asset to any team. Chinmay is a driven individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for learning. He is committed to making a positive impact in the field of computer science.
