Chinmay Hota is a software engineer with a passion for problem solving and learning new skills. He graduated from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani in July 2020 and is currently working as a Software Engineer at Flipkart. Chinmay is proficient in Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, and GitHub. He is enthusiastically grabbing onto other programming languages, frameworks and libraries which will help him improve his problem solving skills. Chinmay has worked on implementing a new supply chain for Grocery based orders at Flipkart, which were required to be delivered quickly and in a certain time interval (slotted). He has also worked on reducing Vendor Not Found errors which were impacting a large number of orders per day. He has implemented data-storage and report generation schemes for reserved orders from Elastic-search using Python, Kibana and Mongo. Prior to Flipkart, Chinmay worked at Amazon in Fast Data Pipelines. He created FDPTags, a Model View Controller based architecture to categorize datagraphs and also retrieve them. He implemented a Coral Invoker Plugin which enabled customers to use their own custom POJOs for their Coral APIs. He also implemented Update API, which involved stopping and starting the physical pipelines of the requested datagraph. Chinmay has also worked as a Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Science. Chinmay is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and is actively looking for Summer Internships in 2023. He has a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
