Chinmay Pani is a highly skilled software engineer with over 4 years of experience in the field. During his time at Amazon, he built a widget for the cart page that recommends offers to customers based on their cart items. He also enhanced the ranking method of Past Orders List recommendation to take into account more factors for the ranking. Prior to his role at Amazon, Chinmay worked at Goldman Sachs as an Analyst in two different teams. In the Site Reliability Engineering Team, he built a web tool that shows live data dependencies between applications and their health using ES data. He also built a library that uses Kafka to send application data asynchronously to various databases for analysis and report generation. In addition, he developed integration testing as a rest service that accepts fake data for external services as parameters to execute the test. He used Prometheus to record and Grafana to visualize live metrics for application and system monitoring. He also built a report generation framework to programmatically join two or more NoSQL databases owned by different teams to produce aggregate reports. In the Electronic Trading Platform Team, he developed and maintained the backend for the trading of fixed income securities, including adding compliance validation checks and required data for UI enrichment. Chinmay holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), where he studied from 2015 to 2019. He also completed his 12th grade from Delhi Public School, Bokaro, and his 10th grade from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Adra.
