Chinmay Wasnik is a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with a Master of Technology in Energy Systems Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He has a Bachelor's degree and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and is a recipient of the 'Baishnab and Kasturi Academic Excellence Award' for his research work in solar thermal area at IIT Bombay. During his Master's program, Chinmay worked on various projects involving computational fluid dynamics (CFD), solar thermal applications, model development, energy systems modelling, energy policy analysis, energy economics, mathematical modelling, data mining, machine learning, deep learning, and optimization. He has a diverse skill set and expertise in software engineering, deep learning, and research. Currently, Chinmay works as a Senior Software Engineer at HCL Engineering and R&D Services division in the development of CAM applications involving fast and efficient computational geometry algorithms for parts nesting. He is responsible for software product development, designing, handling issues reported from the field, coming up with quick solutions and fixes, PoCs and client interactions, product releases, SDLC, and daily build/test process improvement. Prior to this, Chinmay worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Energy Science & Engineering, IIT Bombay, where he tutored 27 dual degree students for the experiment of 'plate type heat exchanger'. He also worked as a Student Companion at the Institute Student Companion Programme, where he aided in the institute orientation ceremony of 1867 PG freshmen with a team of 177 student companions and coordinators. He helped in successfully conducting the first-ever international student orientation for 40+ students from 8+ countries and mentored 6 freshmen on a one-to-one basis for the whole year, guiding them in their academic and co-curricular endeavors. Chinmay's education history includes a Master of Technology in Energy Systems Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vidyavardhini's College of Engineering and Technology, and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from M. H. Saboo Siddik Polytechnic. He also completed his SSC from Balmohan Vidyamandir School, India. Chinmay's technical skills include Software Engineering, Deep Learning, Test, ML, and Research Scientist.
