Chintan Barad is a Principal Software Engineer at Cvent with over 8 years of experience in building large-scale distributed processing and service stacks. He is passionate about product development (full stack), execution of complex design solutions, and conceptualization of design architecture. Currently, he is focusing on designing and developing next-generation event tech SaaS offerings and scaling them to enable 100x. Chintan has worked as a Principal developer and architect for Cvent Appointments, where he was responsible for designing and developing backend services to manage/sync users and groups, manage their authorization and access, and design and develop support for various multi-factor authenticators (OTP, FIDO, etc.). He has also led the design and development of IDaaS’ single-page web UI using React, Redux, Flow with Material UI. Prior to Cvent, Chintan worked at Entrust as a Lead Software Developer and Senior Software Developer. As a technical lead of (8) developers, he collaborated with senior developers and mentored others in taking abstract concepts (requirements) to elegant technical solutions with hands-on contribution from design to deployment. He drove technical design and best engineering practices through various reviews of design, architecture, and security. He assured the team delivered secure, scalable and high-quality software faster with maximum test coverage in an agile manner. Chintan holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science from the University of New Brunswick (2015) and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedbabd (2012). His tech stack includes Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, UI, test, Redux, Backend, and Web. With 7.35 years of relevant experience, Chintan is a skilled software engineer with a passion for designing and developing innovative solutions that drive business growth.
