Chintan Betrabet is a Software Engineer II at Uber with over 5 years of experience in the industry. He completed his undergraduate program in Computer Science and Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Chintan has a strong technical background in Kubernetes, infrastructure, Azure, AWS, Big Data, Docker, Golang, GCP, Microservices, test, and QA. Currently, Chintan is working with Uber as a Software Engineer II, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining the company's software infrastructure. Prior to joining Uber, he worked as an MTS at Qubole Software, where he was part of the infrastructure team and was given a unique opportunity to work with the Qubole platform. He was responsible for migrating the platform to a Kubernetes-based architecture to improve ease of development, speed up builds, and meet autoscaling requirements. Chintan has also worked on HIPAA compliant Kubernetes platform on Azure Cloud, efficient query scheduling algorithm for Qubole, and Qubole on Hybrid Cloud platform. In his previous role at Qubole, Chintan was a member of the Technical Staff and was part of the Platform management team. He was responsible for ensuring the stability of the Qubole platform, improving latency, and security. He worked on projects such as semantic versioning of docker images, Qubole control plane on Google cloud (GKE) and Azure (AKS), and migration to microservices architecture with Kubernetes. Chintan has also been involved in many on-campus activities during his undergraduate program, where he worked as a member of the Department of Sponsorship and Marketing, Department of Creative Works, and Spree Controls. These student-run groups have helped him gain exposure in the broad domains of corporate marketing and relations, product branding, social media marketing, human resource management, publicity, and public relations. Chintan's technical expertise and experience make him a valuable asset to any organization. He is a proactive and enthusiastic team player who is always willing to learn and take on new challenges.
