Chintan Shah is a highly skilled Fired Heaters - Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Honeywell UOP with almost two decades of experience in the field. He specializes in thermal design and rating of Fired Heaters, and provides technical support on research and development projects. He is proficient in FRNC 5PC, HYSYS, and HTRI, and has expertise in PFD & P&ID development, hydraulic & line sizing calculations, and PSV sizing. Chintan has a strong background in process engineering of refinery units, particularly in Isomerisation & HGU. He has a keen eye for detail and is adept at troubleshooting, commissioning, and designing fired heaters and auxiliaries. He has also conducted technical evaluations of burners, Induced Draft (ID) & Forced Draft (FD) fans, Air Preheater (APH), SAPH, pressure vessels, and pumps. Currently, Chintan serves as a Fired Heaters - Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Honeywell, where he provides technical leadership and manages a team of Heat Transfer Engineers. Prior to this, he worked at UOP India as a Group Leader - Heat Transfer, where he provided technical leadership and managed a team of Heat Transfer Engineers. He has also served as a Heat Transfer Manager at Honeywell, where he worked on critical technology fired heaters like Uniflex (Slurry Hydrocracking), Oleflex, RCD, Unicracking (Hydrocracking), and Platforming. Chintan holds a B.E. in Chemical Engineering from Gujarat University, where he specialized in Modelling & Simulation and Biochemical Engineering. He is a Research Scientist and has relevant experience of 18.96 years.
