Chirag Mahawar is an experienced Software Development Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the FinTech industry. He is currently working as a Software Engineer II at BlackRock, where he is responsible for developing and enhancing the front-end for the My Data Export application. Chirag is a technology enthusiast, passionate to learn, self-motivated, and a strong engineering professional with a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology. Chirag has a relevant experience of 3.19 years in software engineering and has worked on various technologies, including Java, Typescript, C, web, and mobile. He is accountable for integrating end-to-end integration testing framework, Cypress, in the application, which revamped the portal leading to better user experience. He has also created an ESG/Carbon tool in My Investments application that enables users to export their ESG data digitally. Before joining BlackRock, Chirag worked as a Software Development Intern under Post Trade and Accounting team, responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining front-end for the accounting portal. He also implemented web telemetry, which gave the team insights on how the UI and APIs are performing. Chirag is also a co-founder of SQOOPin, which aims to provide affordable and eco-friendly short-distance commute with its GPS tracked smart E-Scooters. He worked with the team and was responsible for application software development, including Multi-platform Mobile Application, Informatory Website & Dashboard. SQOOPin reached the Grand Finale in Startup India Punjab Yatra 2019. Chirag has completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology. He has also completed his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Manav Sthali School, New Delhi, and Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from the same school. Chirag has a strong skill set in software engineering, frontend, test, integration, and UI. He is a self-motivated and technology enthusiast who is passionate about learning and growing in his career.
