Chirag Modi is an experienced Software Engineer with a passion for AWS and cloud migration. With over 15 years of hands-on work experience in software design, development, and deployment of large-scale web applications on education, social media, and e-commerce domains, he has developed a diverse skill set that includes Java, PHP, Ruby, JavaScript, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Git, Memcached, Redis, Web Applications, REST APIs, ElasticSearch (ELK) Stack, Amazon Web Services, Microservices, and Distributed Systems. Currently working as a Software Development Engineer III at Groupon, Chirag is part of the Cloud Migration Factory Team responsible for migrating all services to the cloud. He works with service teams to understand their services and make them cloud-ready, supports different tech stacks for containerization and deployment to Kubernetes/AWS, designs Kubernetes templates in Helm charts for different frameworks to deploy on Kubernetes, and develops required automation tools for seamless service migration to the cloud. He collaborates with Platform building block services to help service teams and suggests best practices for cloud migration on Kubernetes platform. Chirag is also a certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified Developer - Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, and AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional. He has a patent for a configurable and incremental database migration framework for heterogeneous databases. Chirag's past experience includes working as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Livingtree and as a Tech Lead at Coulomb Technologies. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology from Ganpat University. With his extensive experience and expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices, Chirag is a valuable asset to any organization looking to migrate to the cloud or develop cloud-based solutions.
