Chirag Raman is a PhD candidate at Delft University of Technology with a passion for developing computational techniques to analyze, anticipate, and foster social human interactions. His research focuses on enabling machines to perceive and reason about the social dynamics of exchanges between humans and machines, with the goal of creating smoother interactions. His work lies at the intersection of machine learning, computer vision, computer graphics, multimodal interaction, and social psychology. Chirag has extensive experience in machine learning, computer vision, interaction design, and game programming. He is proficient in programming languages such as C++, Python, Objective C, C#, Unity 3D, Blender3D, and iOS. Currently, he is a PhD Research Intern at Microsoft Research Cambridge, where he developed a system for dynamic expression-based wrinkles for face synthetics. Prior to his current position, Chirag worked at Delft University of Technology as a Ph.D. Candidate in Computer Science and at Carnegie Mellon University as a Senior Research Engineer in the Multimodal Machine Learning Group. Chirag holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Science from Technische Universiteit Delft, a Master of Entertainment Technology degree from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology from D.J. Sanghvi College of Engineering - University of Mumbai. He also completed his HSC (High School) in Computer Science from D.G. Ruparel College of Arts, Science and Commerce and his ICSE (10th Grade) from Arya Vidya Mandir Bandra West. Chirag's tech stack includes AI, research scientist, computer vision, ML, Objective-c, designer, iOS, and Python. He has relevant experience of 6.29 years.
