Chirag Shetty is a data-driven engineer with expertise in Python, C++, machine learning, and computer vision. He specializes in real-time video analytics and object detection/tracking on edge and cloud platforms. With experience in both research and industry, Chirag is passionate about collaborating with diverse teams to provide value to society. Currently working as a Machine Learning Engineer at Adagrad AI, Chirag has developed and optimized an end-to-end real-time object detection and analytics engine in C++ for retail and commercial stores. He has trained object detection models like YOLO with PyTorch and optimized it for specific hardware with Nvidia TensorRT, achieving a throughput of 225 frames per second (FPS) on Nvidia T4 GPU and an overall accuracy of 95% on footfall analytics. He has also implemented real-time Automated License Plate Recognition system in C++ and trained and optimized models with PyTorch and TensorRT, resulting in a throughput of 50 frames per second (FPS) on edge devices like Nvidia Jetson TX2 NX and overall accuracy of 90% on two-wheelers and 95% on four-wheelers. Chirag has experience in serving models as web-services, implementing real-time media streaming pipelines using GStreamer, and optimizing models for specific hardware. He has also worked on natural language processing using RASA. Before joining Adagrad AI, Chirag worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Optisol Business Solutions, where he trained and deployed models for automating power pole inspections utilizing TensorFlow, OpenCV, and other image processing tools for semantic and instance segmentation. He also developed a Q-Learning based agent for automating website testing and eliminated the need for manual test-case creation, resulting in a more efficient website roll-out process. Chirag has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology.
