Chiranjeev Ghai is an accomplished Engineering Manager at Zomato with over 7 years of experience in Machine Learning. He is a quick learner and has expertise in various programming languages including Python, Angularjs, NodeJs, Android, and Go. Chiranjeev is passionate about the potential of machines to perform tasks that were once exclusive to humans, such as driving a car or playing a game of GO. This interest led him to Udacity, where he learned various algorithms in domains such as supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning. At Zomato, Chiranjeev has created several innovative solutions, including a restaurant recommendation engine that recommends similar restaurants to customers, an end-to-end service for menu digitization, and a service that removes the process of creating APIs every time a new machine learning model is deployed. He has also developed models for dish classification, veg/non-veg classification, and a dish recommender system. Prior to joining Zomato, Chiranjeev worked as a Senior Manager of Machine Learning at Agribazaar, where he created a model to determine the quality of crop samples using deep neural networks and researched the possibilities of yield estimation using satellite imageries. He also worked as a Software Engineer II in R&D at Monotype, where he developed several innovative solutions, including an NLP model to classify Instagram accounts as resellers or not, a machine learning model that identifies the font of a text in an image, and a content management system for one of the clients. Chiranjeev has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Netaji Subash Institute of Technology and a Nanodegree in Machine Learning from Udacity.
