Chiranjeevi Gera is a highly skilled Battery Management System (BMS) expert with over 6 years of experience in the EV domain. He has a strong background in System/Function Requirements, Algorithms Development, Model-Based Development (Matlab/ Simulink), Plant Model Development/Validation (Simscape), Component Selection, Proto Testing, DVP/DFMEA/SOR creation, etc. He has led a team of 10 in delivering various projects in the EV space. Chiranjeevi is mainly focused on Battery pack Core SOX functions, Safety functions, and cell balancing functions. He has a Bachelors's in Electronics and Electrical Communications from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Currently, he is working as an HV BMS System Architect at Bosch. In the past, Chiranjeevi has worked as a Specialist Battery Algorithms BEV-HV at Bosch and BMS Algorithms and Electrical Design Lead- XUV 400 at Mahindra & Mahindra. At Mahindra & Mahindra, he developed a state-of-the-art Model-based SOC algorithm using Extended Kalman Filter and model-based cell balancing algorithm. He also designed and executed the testing plan for the A-sample (FRS) battery pack and developed a make-shift testing setup for the high voltage battery pack which can monitor and log the necessary data and also controls the contactors logically to ensure the safety of the battery pack.
