Chris Erwin is a highly experienced full stack software engineer with a passion for solving complex problems with simple and elegant solutions that prioritize user experience. Currently, he works as a Senior Full Stack Developer - Research & Development at Ada, where he is responsible for the development of both front-end and back-end projects. Chris has an impressive track record of success, having worked in several senior positions in the tech industry. He was a Senior Services Engineer at Glo, an online platform that streams Yoga, Fitness, and Meditation classes. In this role, he was responsible for building and maintaining various back-end services, including the main RESTful API, databases, media transcoding pipelines, microservices, and integrations with third-party tools. Chris was also instrumental in improving platform performance and stability by refactoring and optimizing critical API endpoints and database queries. As a Co-Founder of Elemeno, a Headless CMS product that delivered content through an API, Chris was responsible for designing and building an intuitive UI that allowed non-technical users to build complex content schemas. He also created a suite of client libraries in various languages that allowed users to easily interface with Elemeno's content APIs. Chris is a graduate of Durham College, where he earned a degree in Multimedia Design. He possesses a broad range of technical skills, including expertise in Research Science, Backend and Frontend development, UI design, infrastructure, and microservices. With over 20 years of relevant experience, Chris is a seasoned professional who takes great pride in the entire software creation process, from early ideation through to final deployment and beyond.
