Christina Thalayasingam is an accomplished Engineering Manager with over 8 years of experience in the field. Currently working with Northwestern Mutual, she leads a team of QA Engineers in manual and automation testing of various web-based projects. Christina is a full-stack manager with a strong background in test engineering and experience in implementing automated testing solutions. Her responsibilities include planning, developing, and executing test strategies across multiple projects in close collaboration with the product and engineering teams. She leads all aspects of the development and execution of test plans and supervises and reports on test execution. Christina conducts and participates in test plan reviews, requirement reviews, test code reviews, and other QA activities to ensure that scenarios fully exercise every aspect of the product. In her current role, Christina runs the automation roadmap for customer website projects and leads the metrics for project success. She defines, measures, and reports on these metrics to make data-driven decisions. Christina also recruits and leads technical talent, both highly technical and an effective people manager. She is an expert at leading ambiguity and energizing the team to stay focused on short-term and long-term goals. Christina has previously worked with Medidata Solutions as a Senior Test Engineer, where she was responsible for testing the products to reveal quality and risk-related information with the intent of informing a decision. She also contributed to the creation of test strategies and diagnosis of complex issues and provided technical solutions to automate processes and testing. As an Associate Quality Engineering Lead with Sysco Labs, Christina led efforts in defining test strategies, test planning and reviews, built and maintained test automation frameworks, reviewed and contributed towards the development of automation scripts, configured and maintained continuous integration, and managed test execution and communicated test statuses to stakeholders. She also mentored, trained, and led a team of Quality Engineers. Christina holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Calicut.
