Christoph Grabo is a Holistic Engineer, Methodical Deep Thinker, and Glue at contentful gmbh, where he currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead. With over 14 years of relevant experience, Christoph has a proven track record of technical leadership and project management in mixed infrastructure and backend development teams. He started his journey as a software engineer with a focus on Ruby/Rails, where he maintained and extended a core service responsible for accounts, user, organizations, subscriptions, and billing. Later, he moved into the infrastructure team to transition the platform and services into a modern and containerized system using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS. Christoph has found his passion in distributed systems and CDNs and is currently working on improving and extending the asset delivery pipeline. He leads opportunities (projects/features) from a technical perspective while working closely with product management, customers, and other stakeholders to deliver great value for the user base. Christoph is trying to find the right balance between static and dynamic content delivery, which is easier said than done. Apart from his technical expertise, Christoph is also skilled in internal consultation, mentoring, hiring, inclusion and diversity, culture and values, high quality and standards, communication, collaboration, and facilitation. He believes in lifelong learning and actively shares his knowledge and experience with others. In the past, Christoph has worked with blacklane gmbh and dawanda gmbh, where he held the position of Ruby Devil (Software Engineer) and took care of building new features, maintaining, and bug fixing.
