Christopher Kelly is an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Engineer currently working at Waymo. With almost 9 years of relevant experience, he has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Apple and Boeing. At Apple, Christopher was an iPhone Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, where he was responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling automated and semi-automated final assembly solutions. He also created Requests for Quotation/Proposal that documented the design requirements of automated equipment, delivery schedule, required documentation, and qualification for acceptance at machine supplier facility and contract manufacturer’s factory. Christopher traveled to machine supplier and contract manufacturer for equipment bring-up, qualification, acceptance testing, and support during build events. He was also responsible for driving failure analysis and machine issue resolution by working with machine supplier and cross-functional teams. During his tenure at Apple, he worked on the iPhone 6s through to the iPhone 11. At Boeing, Christopher worked as a Production Review (Liaison) Engineering Intern. In this role, he authored airworthiness assembly/installation repair dispositions for Apache Helicopter platform. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is skilled in various technologies and tools, including test.
