Christopher Lu is a Data Engineer at The Walt Disney Company, where he brings his expertise in data engineering, web development, and software engineering to the table. He graduated from Duke University in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Christopher is currently an Associate Software Engineer in the Disney EMERGE Technology Rotational Program, where he is working on his first rotation with Disney Enterprise Technology in Seattle. He is developing his skills as a backend web developer using Java-Spring, Dynamo, AWS, and other technologies. Christopher's experience in web development is currently back-end focused, with experience in Django as well. He is eager to expand his skillset and become a full-stack engineer. In addition to his professional work, Christopher enjoys producing music using Ableton Live and videos using Adobe Premiere Pro. Christopher has relevant experience in data engineering, web development, software engineering, AWS, backend, Spring, frontend, Django, and Java. Christopher's previous roles include two stints as an Associate Software Engineer with Disney, both as part of the inaugural Disney EMERGE Technology rotational program. EMERGE is a two-year, four-rotation program across multiple business and technology segments of Disney. In his first rotation, Christopher worked under both the Disney Parks and Build Development Engineering teams. Christopher's education history includes his Bachelor's Degree from Duke University and his high school education at Interlake High School. Overall, Christopher has 4.78 years of relevant experience and is excited to continue developing his skills as a Data Engineer at The Walt Disney Company.
