Christopher Neugebauer is an Australian software developer and tech community volunteer currently based in the San Francisco Bay area. With over 13 years of relevant experience, he is a Python Programmer by trade who has found himself working mostly as an Android developer. He has worked up and down the mobile and server-side stack, and his work has taken him to various locations such as Hobart, Sydney, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Christopher has been volunteering in the Australian tech community since 2007 and has held various roles, including tutoring programming to high school students, running the computing student's society at university, and serving as a board member of Australia's peak Free and Open Source Technology organization. He is passionate about software developers sharing their experience and has been actively involved in organizing conferences around the world. Currently, Christopher works as a Software Engineer at Toolchain, where he is responsible for developing Android applications and working across the mobile and server-side stack. He has also served as the Founding Conference Chair of North Bay Python, a brand new Python conference in the San Francisco Bay Area. As the Chair of a small team, he was responsible for sponsor relationships, maintaining and developing the website, and helping with the day-to-day organization of the conference. Christopher has a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Tasmania, where he also ran the computing student's society. He also holds a Tasmanian Certificate of Education from The Hutchins School. His technical skills include Software Engineering, Python, Android, Mobile, and Senior Software Engineering.
