Christopher Powell is a skilled Sr. Automations Engineer (Cloud) / Health Information Systems professional with over 9 years of experience in the field. Currently working at 3M, he has previously held positions at silvercar and bluecats, where he has worked on a range of projects related to cloud software development and security DevOps engineering. At silvercar, Christopher developed an Okta-AWS terraform module to create a Federated SAML SSO application linking the Okta-Gmail Identity Provider with specific AWS accounts. He also implemented AWS SSO for temporary AWS credentials, headed the effort to streamline Silvercar’s AWS Organizations, and was involved with SOC2 compliance. At bluecats, he upgraded their Device Management software to handle next-generation EDGE devices, updated their Cloud Loop software by adding further AWS capabilities, and started the process of integrating certification authentication (X.509) for Device Management.
