Christos Sarris is an Information Security Manager at Sainsbury's, with over 20 years of experience in designing technological solutions for complex problems and dealing with multifaceted challenges in heavily regulated sectors. He is an expert in his field and has worked with multiple multinational work teams, becoming a valuable team member. Through his journey, he has learned how to become a better leader, analyze and solve complex problems, and always deliver on time and on budget. Christos is passionate about technology, which emerges out of his natural curiosity and inner need to understand how technology works. He enjoys witnessing firsthand the positive effect that his work has on the lives of people, and every single day he thinks of how he can better himself in order to make our world a better place. Currently, his work and research are heavily focused on cyber security and privacy, and he is consumed in trying to understand and govern the security challenges that we have to overcome daily. His areas of expertise include security architecture, strategy, and planning, security audits, ethical hacking, threat modeling and intelligence, vulnerability management, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, risk management, computer, operating systems and network security, digital forensic examinations, and business continuity and disaster recovery planning. Christos has worked with IBM as a Software Engineer and with Byte Computer S.A. as a Junior Software Engineer in the past. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Cybernetics & Automotive Electronics and a Certificate of Higher Education in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Bradford. As a Research Scientist, Christos is committed to delivering innovative solutions that exceed the expectations of his clients while being compliant with a plethora of laws, regulations, standards, frameworks, and best practices.
