Cindy Bishop is the Director of Technology at Bongo Media, a conversational storytelling platform that captures one-on-one online, video, and audio conversations. With over 10 years of relevant experience, Cindy has a solid background in technology and the arts. She is responsible for providing analytical tools that demonstrate sentiment, themes, concerns, and hopes to catalyze change. Cindy was previously a Tech Lead at the National Film Board of Canada, where she worked on Sundance Film Festival 2020 Selection at New Frontier. She was also a presenting artist at various US galleries, festivals, and abroad, including the Peabody Essex Museum and the Tribeca Interactive Playground. Her work includes Natural Networks, Wellspring Fords, Dollhouse, and PastPort Interactive. Cindy holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Dynamic/Interactive Media from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Cognitive Science and Computer Science from Vassar College. She also attended Westminster Schools. Cindy's tech stack includes TensorFlow, Senior Software Engineer, AI, Python, iOS, and Azure. She is passionate about using technology to tell authentic, data-informed stories in a post-truth world where disinformation reigns supreme. Cindy is a creative problem solver who is always looking for new ways to use technology to make a positive impact on society.
