Cinjon Resnick is a highly motivated and accomplished PHD student at New York University with over 14 years of relevant experience in the field of research science, computer vision, machine learning, iOS, search, frontend, and web development. His current research efforts focus on machine learning and space of motion. He is currently working on a project called "Space of Motion," which aims to teach agents through motion in video, specifically sports video. The project's annotation system has been used by the best coaches in the world, and the tool powered the front-end, allowing anyone to search and see canonical examples of every skill in the Men's code of points on both web and iOS interfaces. He has also used this data to help athletes, including members of the US Men's Olympics Team, glean insights from their videos via machine learning, mostly activity recognition and segmentation. Cinjon Resnick has also worked on the "Pommerman" project, a two-year endeavor to unify the multi-agent learning community with a competition that could be guided to the community's needs. The project was born from an in-depth investigation into the universe of multiplayer games, and they compared these games across a host of metrics and picked the one that they thought would best push forward machine learning when used as a north star. He hosted the competition twice at NeurIPS, and it led directly to his paper, which was published on arXiv, along with his summary write-ups.
