Clint Worrell is an experienced DevOps Engineer with a passion for automation and improving the developer experience. Currently working at First Republic Bank as a DevOps Engineer for Developer Experience, Clint is responsible for building and maintaining an internal toolkit for software engineers that provides the glue between Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Vault, Aquasec, and Veracode. He also assists 30+ teams of software engineers in refactoring, building, debugging, and deploying hundreds of microservices to Kubernetes. Clint's expertise in creating patterns for languages, frameworks, container images, and container orchestration has helped guide software engineers on how to best work with their CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes clusters. He has also built out the Kubernetes infrastructure in AWS using Terraform to support migrating the bank’s CI/CD and application environments to AWS. With over 11 years of relevant experience, Clint has worked with various companies in different capacities. At Taos, he built initial AWS infrastructure for First Republic Bank’s migration to AWS from on-prem environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). He also used Python and Bash to build tools to assist the team and himself with day-to-day tasks. At DSE Labs, he assisted in building a web application providing data science students with access to the latest open source tools in their browser. Tools made available included Python, R, Julia, Apache Spark, and TensorFlow. Clint holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems from Appalachian State University.
