Clodéric Mars is a creative, enthusiastic, and thoughtful software engineer with over 16 years of relevant experience. He is currently the VP of Engineering at AI Redefined (AIR), a Montreal-based startup that aims to perfect the synergy between humans and AIs to face the challenges of securing a brighter, more ethical future together. Clodéric has developed a wide range of skills to close the gap between lab bench and operationalization, including AI and ML algorithms, applied data science, distributed cloud architecture, API design, product management, workshop facilitation, and project management. He has also evolved from an individual contributor to a tech leader, managing multiple teams and coordinating their work with outside stakeholders. As a CTO at craft ai, he recruited and managed a team of ~15 AI researchers, software engineers, and data scientists. Clodéric is also an experienced public speaker, having pitched projects, facilitated workshops, evangelized leads, given technical talks, and inspired others. He has spoken at several conferences, both in France and abroad, and countless meetups. He has also organized and moderated conference tracks and round tables. Clodéric holds a Diplôme d'ingénieur (MEng) in Computer Science from INSA Rennes - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Rennes and a Master 2 Recherche Spécialité Informatique (MSc) in Artificial Intelligence from Université de Rennes 1. His tech stack includes senior software engineer, AI, software engineer, product manager, ML, and data scientist. Clodéric's past companies include AI Redefined (AIR), where he worked as an AI Product Engineer, and The Good AI, where he contributed to mindful, fair, and responsible AI usage within business, government, and public sectors. At AIR, Clodéric works at the interface between AI R&D, Product Engineering, and Business Strategy to steer and facilitate the execution of the roadmap.
