Cole Brossart is a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer with expertise in C++, Python, and Javascript. He has gained his skills from working towards a Bachelor of Science and a Master's degree in Computer Science, as well as three years of work experience at Cisco Systems. Cole is interested in exploring two fields, namely Machine Learning and Big Data. Currently, Cole is working as a Senior Software Engineer at Remesh, where he is utilizing his experience in AWS, Web, SQL, Big Data, Javascript, ML, ECS, Python, MySQL, MongoDB, Jenkins, Flask, Azure, GCP, Senior Software Engineer, AngularJS, infra, and Django. Prior to this, he worked at Cisco as a Software Engineer, where he led development as Tech Lead for team’s core applications, mentored many new team members, and was in charge of architectural decisions. He also transitioned AWS EC2 Architecture to containers using ECS and serverless, developed two Angular + Flask web platforms that communicate with MySQL and Mongo databases via RESTful API’s, and developed automation to manage public cloud accounts and corresponding cost and usage data for AWS, GCP, and Azure across all of Cisco. Cole secured web applications to Cisco’s compliance standards by centralizing logging with ELK, encrypting everywhere, and proving minimal vulnerabilities. He also built foundational services such as Jenkins CICD pipelines, SQL Alchemy ORM, and standards for Git and coding best practices. Cole's education history includes a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, which he completed in December 2020, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the same university, which he completed in December 2018. He also attended Los Gatos High School. With 2.70 years of relevant experience, Cole is a seasoned software engineer who is passionate about his work and is always looking for new challenges to tackle. He is a team player who enjoys mentoring new team members and making architectural decisions. Cole is an excellent communicator and is always looking for ways to improve his skills and knowledge.
