During his time at Civis, he improved the stability and utility of an ETL and entity resolution pipeline, refactored a core ML algorithm to run on Spark, reducing runtime from hours to minutes, designed and project managed multiple major feature releases, and redesigned a large portion of a Kubernetes state management tool from Python to Go. Coleman also worked as a Software Engineer at Trustwave, where he was a full-stack developer on the Compliance Manager software, written primarily in Java (with Spring) and Dart (with Angular). He worked closely with UX to provide the best user experience possible to serve the user's PCI compliance needs. Coleman holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Chicago, where he studied from 2013 to 2017.
