Colin Elsinga is a software engineer and designer with a passion for building products that improve people's lives. He has extensive experience in using various technologies, including Flutter/Dart, React Native, TypeScript/JavaScript, React/Redux, GraphQL/Hasura, PostgreSQL, and AWS, among others. Colin is the co-founder of Metriport, a personal wellness platform that allows users to track metrics and gain AI-powered insights into their well-being. He was responsible for the entire design, development, and deployment of Metriport on iOS and Android, alongside his co-founder. In May 2022, Colin and his team were accepted into Y Combinator's S22 batch, where they are currently working on further developing Metriport. Before co-founding Metriport, Colin worked as a software engineer at MyMomentum, a community-based wellness app that rewards users for living well. He was primarily responsible for the entire frontend development of the app, but he also worked with the backend database. Colin used React Native, TypeScript, Expo, CSS, Hasura, GraphQL, GitLab, Asana, and Figma for this project. Colin has a diploma in Music Industry, Production, and Engineering from Nimbus School of Recording and Media, and he also completed a Web Development Bootcamp at Lighthouse Labs. He is currently pursuing his S22 at Y Combinator. Colin's technical skills include Frontend, AI, AWS, iOS, Software Engineering, TypeScript, designing, Android, JavaScript, Redux, Flutter, React Native, and Backend. With almost five years of relevant experience, Colin is a highly skilled and motivated frontend engineer who is passionate about building innovative and user-friendly products.
