Colin Gibbons is a highly experienced Site Reliability Engineering Manager with a strong background in software build/test, virtualization, container orchestration, and network design. Currently, he is working at SpaceX as a Manager of Site Reliability Engineering. He has extensive experience operating and supporting production applications in public (AWS, GCP) as well as private, on-premise (OpenStack, VMware) cloud environments. Colin is deeply familiar with Kubernetes for orchestration of container workloads and the nuances associated with deploying it successfully in each of the cloud environments mentioned above. He is excited to bring the next generation of tools to bear on unique technical challenges. With over 15 years of relevant experience, Colin has worked for Blizzard Entertainment as a Cloud Engineer and for Under Armour as a Site Reliability Engineer. He has a proven track record of delivering high-quality results and has a strong understanding of software development and infrastructure operations. Colin holds an Associate of Science degree in Information Technology/Network Engineering from Northern Virginia Community College. He has a diverse tech stack that includes SRE, AWS, test, Kubernetes, GCP, and Senior Software Engineer.
