Connor Harwood is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 8 years of relevant experience in building and scaling performant systems. He has a passion for developing and implementing cutting-edge technologies in the areas of drone automation, machine learning, computer vision, distributed systems, networking, and system management. Connor is a Jack-of-all trades who has architected and led teams responsible for building the backbone products/services of a unicorn startup. Currently, Connor works as a Systems Engineer at Cloudflare, where he is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining all things cache-related to the customer-facing CDN. He collaborates with external organizations to design and build RFC-compliant products/systems and improve aggregate network bandwidth and CPU efficiency. Additionally, he advocates for and drives internal developer experience initiatives to raise the quality of life for BAU operations, reduce surface area/impact of human error, and aid incident/escalation investigations. In the past, Connor has worked as an Engineering Team Lead - Frontend at Yola.com, where he oversaw the design, production, and maintenance of Yola's user-facing applications. He also worked as a Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead at Labelbox, a data management platform designed to optimize the process of building and deploying machine learning models into production environments. At Labelbox, Connor authored or was a core contributor to nearly every initiative, service, and application comprising the Labelbox platform. Connor holds a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from St. John's College and a Full-stack web development certification from Dev Bootcamp.
