Craig Tashman is an entrepreneurial executive and expert user experience designer with over 11 years of relevant experience. He is the Founder and CEO of LiquidText, a revolutionary tool for reading, organizing, and analyzing complex sets of documents. Craig is comfortable in the complete life cycle of interactive technology creation, from initial requirements gathering and design to technology transfer, business model development, and customer development. Craig has a special focus on designing novel user interfaces and form factors, task and activity management, interactive systems prototyping, user testing, education technology, and gesture and touch input. His unique LiquidText technology, based on his doctoral thesis, is built into their iPad app, which has been downloaded over a million times. Before founding LiquidText, Craig was a Doctoral Student at Georgia Tech, where he received his Ph.D. in computer science studying human-computer interaction. During his time there, he developed a desktop window organization/visualization tool, developed security visualization to help non-experts use firewall software, and developed technology to help people read and make sense of complex documents. Craig also worked as a Research Intern at Steelcase, where he conducted qualitative and quantitative studies of document reading/visualization technology, software development, and ran design workshops. Craig holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics from Pace University. Craig's tech stack includes Research Scientist, test, designer, Software Engineer, and UI. He is a visionary leader who is passionate about creating innovative solutions that help knowledge workers save time and make deeper connections across their documents.
