Crispina Muriel is a highly motivated software engineer with a passion for web development and a background in education. With a degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from California State University, Bakersfield, Crispina spent nearly a decade as a 1st Grade teacher before transitioning to a career in software development. As a graduate of Fullstack Academy's Web Development Fellowship program, she has hands-on experience building apps in React, Vue, Ember, Redux, Node, Express, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and WebSockets, in an Agile environment. Crispina's experience as an educator has given her a unique perspective on how technology can be used to enhance the learning experience for students. Her passion for web development and her desire to make a positive impact on the world led her to pursue a career in software development. She is excited to continue learning new technologies and to apply her skills to create innovative solutions that make a difference in people's lives. Currently working as a Substitute Teacher at Bakersfield City School District, Crispina has also worked as an Elementary School Teacher at Conley School and as a Substitute Teacher at NYC Department of Education. In these roles, she has collaborated with support staff, organized field trips, and facilitated feedback and daily behavioral support to parents and grandparents. Crispina's education history includes a Web Development Fellowship from The Grace Hopper Program at Fullstack Academy, a CS106A Python course from Stanford University's Code in Place program, and a Certificate of Completion in Web Development from Zero to Mastery Academy. She also holds a Multiple Subjects California State Teaching Credential and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from California State University, Bakersfield. Crispina's technical skills include Software Engineering, Web Development, MongoDB, Javascript, Redux, test, VueJS, Ember.js, and PHP.
