Cristian Herghelegiu is a passionate software developer with over 21 years of relevant experience. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at Lenovo, where he is responsible for developing the core engine orchestration that takes care of all flows and ensures that all request messages reach the desired service level agreement. He is also responsible for properly administering all the virtual machines on the on-prem client stack. Cristian is proficient in C++ and uses Apache Qpid message queues for communication with clients on-prem hardware or between components. Prior to joining Lenovo, Cristian worked as a Software Engineer at BullGuard Software, where he developed BullGuard Small Office Security, an application dedicated to businesses. He also developed BullGuard Lock, the desktop application part that makes use of computer connectivity to determine user proximity and locks and unlocks your computer. Cristian has also developed Spamfilter plugins for recognizing spam emails and high-performance Spamfilter servers to analyze requests from clients using a Redis database. He has also developed email client plugins for Outlook, Live Mail, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, and Thunderbird to extract emails using their API or low-level API or by hooking their systems. Cristian has developed internal frameworks for fast communication and notifications, multithreading, asynchronous programming, and socket programming. He has implemented the Messaging Center, making use of the implemented libraries to provide a rich user experience. Cristian has also worked as a Software Engineer at Graitec, where he developed Advance Concrete with over 1.5M lines of code. The program is producing execution plans for concrete buildings over the platform ObjectARX from AutoCAD. He was responsible for refactoring code for reliability, efficiency, and simplicity, accessing internal objects with COM for automation, developing conversion from other programs to Advance object model, creating detailed reports as RTF file format, developing reinforced structure models, and developing automatic reinforcing of concrete structures. Cristian holds an Engineer's Degree in Computer Science from the Polytechnical University of Bucharest.
