Cullin Lam is a visionary and empathetic Software Engineer with over 5 years of relevant experience in the tech industry. Currently, Cullin is the Founder and Engineer at Benevolent Tech Company LLC, where he founded, architected, and developed SplitTab™ mobile application. SplitTab™ is designed to ease the burden of getting paid back when dining with friends, allowing users to quickly and easily split bills and accept payments via peer-to-peer payment apps or cryptocurrency. Prior to his current role, Cullin worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Cimpress, where he led a team of globally distributed engineers to develop and operate a next-generation Asset Management Service for use by Vistaprint and other Cimpress businesses. He also collaborated with the product owner and stakeholders to prioritize feature development and roadmaps, organized and assigned work for project sprints, and provided bi-weekly project updates to stakeholders. Cullin mentored junior engineers and provided feedback via code reviews to ensure quality. Cullin's relevant experience includes developing and maintaining a Generic Microservice Orchestrator Service that executes millions of critical business workflows per day, leading a team to develop a web application that enables users to easily view and modify their workflows, and maintaining and supporting the Uploads Service, which handles the storage and retrieval of millions of customer images and internal assets. Cullin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Biology with a concentration in Bioinformatics from the University of Massachusetts. He is proficient in a variety of technologies, including P2P, AWS, Blockchain, Mobile, CI/CD, New Relic, NodeJS, Typescript, Docker, MongoDB, Redis, Microservices, and Web.
