Daanish Suhail is a co-founder and VP Marketing at Playo, India's largest sports community, and a GrowthX Fellow(C5). As a child, Daanish found it hard to appreciate creativity, but things changed when he started creating stuff himself. He tried his hand at short films, robotics, illustrations, standup, and whatever he could get his hands on. The more he tried, the more he understood the craft. He may not claim to be an expert at any of the above things, but he has taken a peek into many creative fields and can place himself in the creator's shoes. Hence, he understands better and communicates better. Daanish combined his love for creativity with his love for advertising and used it to help build the brand for his startup - Playo. Playo became India's largest sports community, and the "App of the Year - 2018" in the hidden gem category on the Google Play Store. He has also forayed into different verticals like brand partnerships, mentorship, and has spoken at a few events. Daanish is currently a co-founder at gamebag.in, where he conceptualized the idea of creating a sports community in India. Gamebag started off by being the Tech Partner for sports venues across India, and Daanish worked with his co-founders and conducted the initial user research for their product. He understood the requirement of their B2B clients and created their MVP. Daanish has worked as an intern at nds and as a short film maker. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Information Technology from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering and a Pre-University Certificate in Science from Christ Junior College. He is currently pursuing a Product & Growth course from GrowthX®. Daanish's tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, Research Scientist, Mobile, and Software Engineer. With 18.20 years of relevant experience, Daanish is a creative marketer with a passion for building brands and communities.
