Damian Pisaturo is a Lead Software Engineer with over 12 years of experience in developing web applications and backend services. He is well-versed in web technologies and has a solid understanding of software architecture and new technologies. Damian has extensive experience in project leading, taking care of processes, best practices, and technical decisions. Throughout his career, Damian has been involved in analysis, design, domain modeling, implementation, technology research, technical and project leadership, effort estimation, team building, technical interviews, performance evaluations, processes definition, deployment, and production support. He is particularly interested in coaching and Agile methodologies. Damian's technical skills include Ruby on Rails, Java, Grails, Maven, Spring MVC, Spring WebFlow, Angular, React, Hibernate, MySQL, Postgres, Git, Unit testing, Continuous Delivery, Docker, Kubernetes, Agile methodologies, OOP, DDD, and Design Patterns. Currently, Damian is the Co-Founder of australpath. In his previous role as a Software Engineer Team Lead at optoro, he managed a team of 10+ members and was responsible for improving processes, direct communication with stakeholders, product owners, and product managers, and deployments into Staging, Sandbox, and Production environments. He also worked on integrating with Amazon Web Services, Google Services, eBay, Salesforce, Braintree, Contentful, Shiphawk, Branch, and HoneyBadger. Prior to that, Damian worked as a Software Engineer Project Lead at futureadvisor, where he led a team of 10+ engineers in developing React apps and REST APIs using Rails. He also worked on customizations for different clients/partners such as Retail, US Bank, MassMutual, Suntrust, and First Republic. Damian holds an Engineer's Degree in Computer Software Engineering from Universidad de Buenos Aires and a High School degree in Business/Managerial Economics from Instituto Padre Márquez.
