Dan Bednarczyk is a full-stack web developer based in Sacramento, CA, with over 5 years of relevant experience. He specializes in front-end technologies and is currently serving as the primary front-end engineer at CBS Sports, where he is working to modularize and modernize the MaxPreps.com architecture. Dan is also responsible for building out a robust, responsive component library using styled-components and architecting patterns for ad, tracking, and caching implementations. He works directly with stakeholders across product, design, and engineering in a highly collaborative Agile environment. Before joining CBS Sports, Dan worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Bentley Systems, where he designed, implemented, and consumed various RESTful APIs, built responsive web applications using TypeScript, Angular, HTML5, and CSS3, and authored backend services for scalability, flexibility, and modularity using the .NET framework. He also integrated relational and NoSQL databases into web applications and worked with Azure cloud applications utilizing Octopus for CI/CD pipelines. Dan's past experience also includes serving as a Resident Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh, where he managed and mentored 57 freshmen engineering residents, enforced community standards for a diverse pool of students, and organized large-scale social, educational, and experiential programs. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, which he received in 2017. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in Frontend, Web, Software Engineer, Javascript, CI/CD, Typescript, NoSQL, Azure, Backend, AngularJS, and Java. Outside of work, Dan enjoys music, art, botany, fitness, and community development.
