Dan Tonazzi is a highly experienced Senior Director of software project management with over two decades leading technology projects and teams across geospatial and payments domains. Currently, he is the Senior Director, Head of Payments PMO at Visa, where he leads multiple global payments teams and is responsible for a software portfolio supporting 20+ software development teams. Dan has expertise in portfolio project management including Agile software development and delivery processes. He holds CSM, CSPO, and PMP certifications. As the Program Management Lead for Payments for the Merchant, Acquiring, Processing, Product Development (MAP PD) Business unit within Visa, Dan is accountable for planning, execution, and value delivery for an annual portfolio of 100+ payment processing programs delivered by 150+ staff members and 100+ Managed Services Team members. Dan's past experience includes being the Business Line Manager for core enterprise payments Merchant and Acquirer business at Visa. He was accountable for all program deliverables across 9 scrum teams supporting 40+ developers. He was also the Portfolio Program Manager (Senior Scrum Master) for Enterprise Business Tools for Visa (CyberSource) serving merchant/reseller clients and acquiring bank customers. Dan has also worked as a Scrum Master/Project Manager for Visa (3 scrum teams) at cprime, inc. Dan has an MBA from the W. P. Carey School of Business – Arizona State University, an MS in Computer Info Systems from the University of Phoenix, and a BA in Geography from the University of Arizona. He has also completed courses at Stanford Continuing Studies. Dan's relevant experience in the industry is 21.38 years, and he has worked as a Software Engineer and Product Manager.
