Daniel T. Murphy is a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with more than 37 years of experience in the industry. He is currently employed at Extreme Networks, where he designs, develops, implements, and maintains software using J2EE, Eclipse, and ClearCase Network Management applications. His work involves supporting new hardware and firmware features via SNMP MIBs, which allow users to control multiple IPs using NetSight management tools. Daniel has specialized in SNMP MIB support since 1992 and is adept at extracting features and providing a consistent GUI to monitor and control multiple devices. He is also experienced in the maintenance of existing customer shipped products, extending the feature set to support new firmware upgrades and hardware. Daniel is skilled at refactoring existing systems and extracting key methods and components for reuse, which increases overall performance for the user. He has also worked in rapid release environments, adding new features to software applications. At Extreme Networks, Daniel is working on the NetSight OneView SNMP historical collection, reporting, PDF, device monitor, and configuration supporting both Java and Web Client user interfaces. Daniel has also worked at Cabletron Systems as a Software Engineer II - IV, where he worked on network element management and Spectrum Element Manager, Remote LanView, and Remote LANView for Windows. Daniel has a degree from Northern Essex Community College, where he studied from 1981-1983. His technical skills include Software Engineering, Java, and Web.
